I have lived my entire life in the Midwest. My art background: I am mostly self taught having entered into college when I was over 40. I learned basic drawing skills from my mother and set about learning to draw on my own. I have always drawn.
I love creating what I see in many forms of media. My works are completed in pencil, pen and ink, colored pencil, acrylic, oils, and watercolors.
Until 1990, I drew nothing but cartoon figures, but was asked to draw a portrait of a family member. Much to my own surprise, it came naturally to me. I have been drawing portraits ever since. I especially love animals and children candid portraits.
I am the founder of the Ebay Community Group Art Divas. This group of talented artists sell through the Self Representing Art Category on Ebay.
